Della Calvet

Licensed Registered Clinical Social Work Intern. Della works closely with teens, young adults, adults, and their families in individual and group settings. Della also works with trauma survivors who are in their path to healing.

 

Della Calvet (she, her, ella) is a Cuban-born-and-raised Psychotherapist. Della was trained at Robert Stempbel College of Public Health & Social Work, FIU.

 

Della (she, her, ella) is a Cuban-born-and-raised Psychotherapist. Before joining Improving Lives, Della worked closely with children, teens, adults, and their families in individual and group settings. Della’s experience specialized her in working with clients who went through traumatic experiences and want to begin or continue their path to healing. Trauma-focused therapy is an approach that focuses on understanding how a traumatic experience impacts a person’s mental, behavioral, emotional, physical, and spiritual well-being. Della implements cognitive-behavioral (CBT), dialectical-behavioral (DBT), trauma-informed (TIC), and multicultural therapy when working with her clients. Della’s theoretical framework is mainly guided by Resilience and Cognitive theories. Della meets their clients where they are at and moves forward towards healing and liberation.
